Rehman attended the wonderful annual Will Adams Festival in Gillingham Park, which celebrates maritime history and Japanese culture. The festival is named after Will Adams, a resident of Gillingham who in 1598 set sail to Japan on the flagship Hope. He went on to become a trusted aide and diplomatic adviser to the Shogun.
