Rehman took part in an Urgent Question on "the violence in Israel and Palestine", in which Rehman made it clear to FCDO Minister James Cleverly that the force used against worshippers at Al-Aqsa mosque was unacceptable and Rehman asked the Minister to raise with Israeli authorities the importance of all individuals being able to freely practise their faith in the holy city of Jerusalem.
Rehman further asked that the British Government put human rights and freedom of religion or belief on the G7 summit agenda (which the UK is hosting in June), as part of the UK's commitment to championing human rights and freedom of religion or belief for all across the world.
Rehman previously served as the Prime Minister's Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief from September 2019 to September 2020.
