A church organist who has played for 68 years has been nominated for a Pride in Medway Award by Rehman.
Mrs Joyce Powley who has played the organ at All Saints Church in Hempstead since the age of 14 and has rarely taken any time off.
She taught herself to play and used to cycle several miles to attend the Church every Sunday.
Rehman said: “Local parishioners have told me that Mrs Powley is very special to the Church in many ways. I would like to recommend her for a Pride in Medway Award for her services to the community over so many years.”
