Rehman, during an Urgent Question on the situation in Sudan, raised concerns regarding the rights of religious minorities in Sudan following a coup in the country.
Rehman further called on the Government to work with the International Religious Freedom or Belief Alliance, to ensure that a multilateral approach is taken to the UK's commitment to advancing freedom of religion or belief for all around the world.
Rehman previously served as the UK Prime Minister's Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief from September 2019 to September 2020.
