Rehman has chosen The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust to be the recipient of his next half marathon challenge.
He will be competing in the Headcorn half marathon on Sunday 14 February 2016 and is asking for help to raise much needed funds for the Baby Trust.
Rehman hopes to beat his performance last year, where he came 22nd out of 455 runners, completing the Headcorn course in one hour and twenty eight minutes.
The Baby Trust raises funds to support the Oliver Fisher neonatal unit at Medway Hospital. The unit provides care for prematurely born babies which require intensive care and specialised assistance. Each year the unit cares for around 800 babies.
Donations for the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust can be made through the JustGiving site
This will be Rehman's twelfth half marathon for local good causes and fifth since being elected as a Member of Parliament.
Last year he ran in support of Medway Hospital Radio and Take Heart Mercy Mission, the Gills’ charity partner, raising nearly a thousand pounds.
Previously Rehman has supported St Margaret’s church roof fund, Gillingham Hands and Home-Start Medway.
Rehman said:
"I am looking forward to taking part in the Headcorn Half Marathon once again and raising much needed funds for an excellent local charity. Hopefully I will improve on my previous time.
"The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust supports sick and premature babies and helps to save lives and you can donate through my JustGiving page."
