Rehman visited a local animal welfare charity, Animals Lost and Found in Kent, in Gillingham to thank them for their fantastic work rescuing animals and hear from them about the important issue of dog ear cropping, which was raised with Rehman by a local vet, Lyn.
Rehman was previously inspired by and worked with Animals Lost and Found in Kent to introduce his Cats Bill, which called for the compulsory microchipping of cats, as well as the requirement to report a road traffic accident resulting in the injury or death of a cat to the relevant authorities.
