Rehman has welcomed the announcement that schools in Medway will receive fairer funding.
The Government has announced that schools in Medway will next year receive additional money to address historic unfairness in the way funding is allocated.
In a question from Rehman in Parliament, the Education Minister, David Laws MP, confirmed that the funding per pupil in Medway will increase to £4,402.
This money is part of a proposed £350 million boost to the most underfunded local authorities. It represents a huge step towards removing the unfairness in the school funding system.
