Rehman welcomed Secretary of State Michael Gove's decision to dismiss A.C. Goatham's appeal to build up to 1,250 homes at Pump Lane.
Rehman thanked all residents who vigorously fought this unacceptable proposal, helping to ensure that cherished green spaces in the local area are protected.
Since the development was first proposed, Rehman staunchly opposed it, making strong representations at every level, including appearing before the Planning Inspectorate inquiry in February 2021 and recently writing to the Secretary of State responsible for Housing, Michael Gove MP, urging him to reject the appeal.
Rehman will continue to fight alongside local residents against unacceptable large-scale developments.
