On Saturday (26 January 2013) local residents joined Rehman at his street stall to help pack boxes to support our troops serving in Afghanistan.
Rehman has teamed up with Support our Soldiers, a charity set up in 2003 to provide support for members of the Armed Forces, to send donated parcels to Afghanistan.
Rehman commented: "We had an excellent response and I would like to thank the many local residents who came along to the street stall in Rainham and picked up a box or dropped off donations. Anyone interested in filling a box for our soldiers can contact the constituency office and arrange to collect one."
