Rehman was delighted to open a new Lymphoedema service at Rainham Healthy Living Centre. The clinic has two nurses and two secretaries serving a population of approx 250,000 people which will save patients from having to travel to other areas for treatment.
Lymphoedema affects over 100,000 people in the UK of all ages and genders. Although many of Lymphoedema patients requiring treatment will have cancer related Lymphoedema, the new service provides equal access to all patients with primary and non-cancer related Lymphoedema for treatment by specialist Lymphoedema practitioners.
Rehman commented: "I was delighted to open the new service at the Rainham Healthy Living Centre. I enjoyed meeting patients, medical staff, and practitioners and listening to their views."
