Rehman was delighted to have been asked to start the children's Medway Mile Race at the Rochester Castle gardens.
Rehman commented: "It was terrific to see so many children participating in sport and enjoying themselves with their families. We certainly have some of Britain’s future athletes’ here in Medway."
Rehman ran the Medway Mile in 5 minutes and 22 seconds. Rehman thanked Southern Water for sponsoring the event and Medway Council for organising such an excellent event.
