Rehman is supporting the campaign to save St Barnabas’ Church.
The Church in Nelson Road, Gillingham has been a place of worship for more than 120 years and is now at risk of closure.
Rehman attended the open day on Saturday (8 June 2013) to raise awareness of their campaign and will be making representations to the Diocese on their behalf.
Rehman said: "St Barnabas’ is a great church at the heart of the local community and has been a place of worship for more than 120 years.
"I remember attending many church services there when I was a pupil at Napier Primary School around the corner and I will be doing everything I can, by making representations on their behalf, to ensure that it remains part of the community."
More information on the campaign can be found on their website.
