Rehman has been promoting the campaign to restore the Medway Queen.
In Parliament (21 October), Rehman met with Admiral Lord West, who has recently been appointed the patron of the Paddle Steamer.
They discussed funding options and a visit from Lord West to raise the profile of the Medway Queen.
Rehman has also recently written to the Culture Secretary, Sajid Javid MP, to see what support can be provided, to restore the Heroine of Dunkirk.
Rehman said:
"For many years, local volunteers have been campaigning and working hard to restore the Medway Queen, which is an important part of our local heritage and history.
"It is vital that she is restored to her former glory and I have been raising the funding issue. I have met with the new patron, Admiral Lord West, who is keen to assist anyway he can, and I have raised the issue with the Culture Secretary."
