Rehman has called for a debate on assistance for those diagnosed with a rare cancer.

Today in Parliament (11 June 2015) he raised the case of Ruby Young, who is suffering from Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer which usually affects children under the age of five.

Rehman asked:
"Neuroblastoma is a rare aggressive cancer that affects just 100 children every year in the UK, including Ruby Young in my constituency, a brave young girl who is battling for her life. Sadly it is often hard to diagnose this cancer and its causes are unknown, can we have an urgent debate on the assistance available to those facing this disease?"

The three year old has recently undergone surgery and her family are fundraising for the Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Alliance to help Ruby and other children like her.
