Rehman has won a national award for his community engagement work.
The Patchwork Foundation presented Rehman with the Conservative Party People’s Choice MP of the Year Award on Wednesday (4 November 2015) at their annual ceremony.
Those receiving an award were nominated by individuals or grassroots community organisations and the final winners were selected by an independent panel of judges.
Rehman said:
"It is an honour to have won such a prestigious award from the Patchwork Foundation for my work on community engagement.
"As an MP it is important to work with all communities to ensure they their views are fully listened to in Parliament before legislation is passed and key issues affecting all members of society are discussed.
"The Patchwork Foundation has played an important role in promoting and engaging with under-represented communities and I support the excellent work they have been doing."
