Rehman joined members of the Armed Forces and local councillors to sign Medway’s first Armed Forces Covenant.
The Community Covenant recognises the contributions made by the Armed Services and encourages local partners to work closely with them in Medway.
It is being supported by more than fifty local groups including the hospital, the police and MidKent College.
Rehman said: “I am honoured to sign this important Community Covenant which remembers the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces and encourages everyone in Medway to continue to support and work with them to strengthen our local community ties.”
