Rehman Chishti, together with fellow Medway MPs and council members, met with Lord Heseltine on Wednesday 17th July 2016.
Lord Heseltine is leading the government's Thames Estuary 2050 Growth Commission. Announced in March of this year, the Commission has been tasked with developing an ambitious vision and delivery plan for North Kent, South Essex and East London up to 2050.
A call for ideas is open with a deadline of 9th September and submissions are invited across six work streams:
- Creating high productivity clusters
- Increasing connectivity
- Creating new homes and communities
- Securing investment
- Harnessing innovation in the built environment
- Putting it together: centres of excellence
Committed to making the case for Medway, Rehman will be making representation to the Commission and encourages all those with ideas to get in touch.
