Rehman, along with fellow Medway MPs Kelly Tolhurst and Tracey Crouch, wrote to NHS South East England calling for a mass Covid-19 vaccination centre in Medway, as Medway has been one of the hardest hit areas by Covid-19. Kent is also where the mutant Covid-19 strain was first discovered and North Kent has some of the highest health inequalities in the country.
Rehman also passed on Gillingham Football Club's offer of hosting the mass vaccination site at their stadium, MEMS Priestfield, after the Chairman, Paul Scally, spoke with Rehman earlier in the day.
The letter called on NHS South East England to find another site in Medway if the stadium isn't suitable.
Rehman also raised this matter with the Prime Minister at Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday, when he called on the PM to ensure there is a mass vaccination centre in Medway.
