Rehman, following a statement by Minister for Vaccine Deployment Nadhim Zahawi MP, welcomed the proposals by Kent & Medway Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to increase Covid-19 vaccination capacity at Medway Hospital, which Rehman stated now must be added to the national booking programme.
Rehman urgently called again for a mass vaccination centre in Medway due to its large population and as it has been one of the hardest hit areas in the country by Covid-19.
Rehman previously asked the Prime Minister in PMQs (27th January 2021) to ensure there was a mass vaccination centre in Medway.
Rehman also paid tribute to NHS staff across Medway and the CCG for their amazing work.
