In his third episode of 'In Conversation With', Rehman spoke with Sam Brownback, who served as the United States Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom from February 2018 to January 2021, a position which leads on advancing freedom of religion or belief around the world for the U.S. Government.
Prior to becoming Ambassador, Sam served as the Governor of Kansas from 2011 to 2018; as a U.S. Senator for Kansas from 1996 to 2011; and as the U.S. Representative for Kansas’s 2nd congressional district from 1995 to 1996.
Part 2 covers a range of topics including the upcoming G7 summit and how we can put religious freedom on the agenda; sanctions; the Pope's visit to the UAE and Iraq; and improving religious literacy training for diplomats, including looking at the work of chaplains in the US military.
Rehman worked with Sam Brownback during Rehman's time as the Prime Minister's Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief from September 2019 to September 2020.
